Morecambe and Lunesdale MP, David Morris and Lancaster and Fleetwood MP, Eric Ollerenshaw, shared cutting of the ribbon to officially declare the new White Lund premises open.

Chamber Manager Vicky Lofthouse said: “The move is to allow greater access to our members, free parking and improved accessibility off the M6 link once it’s complete and of course allowing the Chamber to continue in forging new, as well as building upon existing, business relationships in the Morecambe and Lancaster district”.

Mr Morris said: “I am aware of a number of businesses who are expanding as a result of the Heysham M6 link road and for the Chamber to be at White Lund will be a big boost.”

Mr Ollerenshaw added: “This new base will help cover the developing expansion of business that is happening in our city as the economy picks up and the M6 link road, university and college begin to deliver on the potential that exists in Lancaster.”

After the opening ceremony, guests were entertained by Morecambe Brass Band.
