More than 4,000 homes and businesses were left without electricity across the city.
A power cut caused by a fault in an underground cable affected properties on Tuesday morning, April 15.
Electricity North West said power was lost to 4,470 customers for just over an hour.
Engineers were called in at 11.58am and managed to restore those affected by 1.03pm.
The main areas hit were Owen Road, Albert Road, Oxford Street, Mainway, Halton Road, Ashbourne Road and Ashton Drive.
The company took to its Twitter site to apologise to customers for the electricity outage.
Electricity North West is responsible for delivering power to 5.1 million people across the region, using 13,000km of overhead lines, 43,000km of underground cables and 38,000 transformers.
