A Lancaster bar and restaurant has remained closed without explanation since shutting its doors suddenly on New Year’s Eve.
There has been no sign of life at Bar Eleven and Touro, in Church Street, since the two venues were last open for business on December 31.
Customers who booked to eat at Brazilian “Rodizio” restaurant Touro in early December arrived in January to find the establishment closed and empty.
Kelly Towers, from Lancaster, had a meal at Touro on New Year’s Eve, and was part of a group that was the last to leave the adjoining Bar Eleven, which was under the same ownership.
She said: “We were there, in fact we were the last customers to leave before they shut.
“We were booked in for a meal at Touro and entry into Bar Eleven for the New Year’s Eve party, only for us to learn when we paid up and left the restaurant that they had stopped serving at 11pm in Bar Eleven.”
