After three years of trading successfully in Lancaster, a salon has expanded to offer a new ‘sanctuary’ in the city centre.

The Prestige Salon, which is owned and managed by Shane Ogley and Daryl Birkby, has opened the new beauty, massage and holistic studio ‘The Sanctuary’ at the Church Street premises.

The salon on Church Street has expanded both its number of employees and regular clients since it opened in 2012, and the latest addition comes in the form of Zoe Humpage, an experienced beauty therapist from Morecambe. Originally trading as “ Revive” from VVV at Hest Bank, Zoe explained about her move to Prestige.

She said “I was looking for new premises in Lancaster and the feel, atmosphere and work ethic of Prestige really connected with me.

“The room upstairs is perfect.

“We can offer our clients their beauty treatments in perfect surroundings.

“What I like about Prestige and what makes it unusual, is it’s a busy, bustling, modern salon but has a really relaxing atmosphere”.

Originally, the salon was opened as a male barbers, but after just a month, Shane and Daryl had employed their first member of staff and opened up the books to ladies. The upstairs space was converted to accommodate more ladies stylists and within two years Prestige was fully operational over two floors with a team of 11 staff and hundreds of regular clients.

Shane said “We are really excited about welcoming Zoe to our team. She is extremely experienced, professional and highly qualified.

“The space over the salon is ideal for this sort of treatment room and I’m sure the Sanctuary will soon become a regular haven for both men and women”.

The Sanctuary provides waxing, tinting, nails and pedicures, as well as aromatherapy, Indian head massage and hot stone treatments and will be open six days a week from 10:00am. Booking is absolutely essential.
