A new online hub is offering job opportunities for people in Morecambe of all ages, with advice and guidance along the way.

Training provider PHX Training has launched its bespoke service, PHX Jobmatch, to match unemployed people with suitable jobs.

Through the online portal www.phxjobmatch.co.uk, it aims to fill the gap between those seeking work and those companies offering job opportunities, as well as provide advice and support for people between posts.

Individuals can search through jobs, upload a CV and receive alerts when a new job matches their profile, while employers can use the service to advertise vacancies.

PHX Jobmatch has already experienced success since its recent launch, using Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria as a pilot, and is being rolled out nationwide.

Shirley Williams, development director at PHX Jobmatch, said: “For individuals, it is a great source of comfort to know that they have this support at every step of the way.

“For employers, there is the benefit of finding trained and skilled people from one place to match up the person with the job, sometimes very difficult to achieve.

“This initiative provides options for people and companies at all levels, from apprenticeships through to senior roles, and many of the roles are supported by training at an appropriate level.”
