Lancaster-based Moore and Smalley is celebrating success after two of its accountants achieved industry qualifications.

Scott Greenwood and Jack Steer have passed their final Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) exams, with Scott securing fully-qualified status.

Jack was recognised by the North West Chartered Accountants Student Society for achieving the highest results in the region in two of his exams.

Adam Parton, partner at Moore and Smalley said: “We’re committed to developing the talent within our workforce and it’s always pleasing to see our staff advance and progress with the company.

“Scott has been with us for 11 years and we’ve witnessed his journey from assistant to corporate manager and now to passing his ACA at advanced level first time round, which is no mean feat.

“Jack has also worked very hard and his success is a direct result of his skills and dedication. Both Scott and Jack will play an integral role in Moore and Smalley’s future.”

Corporate manager Scott joined Moore and Smalley in 2003 and manages a portfolio of clients made up of mainly limited companies. His role involves providing and analysing quarterly management information as well as annual accounts, corporation tax, personal tax compliance and advanced Sage software work.

Jack joined Moore and Smalley in 2011 and is a corporate assistant working on statutory audits and preparation of company accounts.

He is a member of the audit team, working on large company and charity accounts.
