Two young entrepreneurs have moved office for a second time in under a year after the amount of business handled by their marketing agency doubled.
But Tom Grattan, 21, and Sam Fox, 19, the brains behind SATO, did not have to look far for their new premises, which are just upstairs from their old office at CityLab in Dalton Square, Lancaster.
The office is three times bigger and will allow the pair take on two new staff. They worked from Tom’s home in Skerton before they first moved to CityLab last August.
The Ripley St Thomas old boys face judges on May 13 as they bid to make the final in the E-Business category of the Lancashire BIBA awards.
They also recently returned from a second visit to the New York office of top advertising agency Saatchi and Saatchi where they received tips on business development.
The agency is run by Kevin Roberts, who like Tom and Sam, is a Ripley old boy.
After leaving Ripley, Tom worked there as a website administrator and in marketing. SATO was born after Sam joined him in creating a sixth form admissions campaign and its first year turnover was more than £100,000
“We’ve achieved a lot in a year but taking on staff will allows us to get out and find new business leads,” said Tom.
