As the landscape around Lancaster and Morecambe begins to change, signalling the arrival of the Heysham M6 Link Road, contractors are offering residents the chance to meet the construction team.
Costain is hosting a public exhibition alongside the county council at various locations in February.
Project manager Andrew Langley said: “People will notice we’ve started now, particularly at the Morecambe Road roundabout, where we’ve been clearing vegetation in preparation for major works in that area a few months from now.
“We’ve got traffic management in various places on Caton Road, Lancaster, Barley Cop Lane and on Torrisholme Road near our new site compound on the former Broadoak site. We ask people to look ahead and adhere to the signs around the traffic management in place to keep everyone as safe as possible.”
The exhibitions take place at Lancaster & Morecambe College on February 5 between 2.30pm and 8pm, The Centre in Low Road, Halton, on February 6 between 4pm and 8pm, Slyne with Hest Memorial Hall on February 7, 2.30pm to 8pm, and the Holiday Inn in Caton Road on February 10, 2.30pm to 8pm.
