Business consultancy Three Point One has become the first in the Lancaster district to be approved as an advisor to deliver specialist start-up support.
The Heysham-based organisation can now provide strategic advice to fledgling entrepreneurs as part of the Government’s £30m Growth Vouchers Programme.
Founder Vicki Askham is part of a new scheme that aims to help start-ups and small and medium companies.
She said: “I do a lot of work with start-ups and it’s great to be involved in their development from an early stage. The Growth Voucher marketplace makes it more affordable for new businesses to access support to drive their growth in an organised and sustainable way.
“With the current forecasts for economic growth bringing confidence back into the market, now is a fantastic time for ambitious business owners to put their plans into action.”
The scheme offers businesses subsidies of up to £2,000 towards the cost of advice to successful applicants.
The programme then monitor SME performance over the coming years in order to assess the impact that advice has had.
