Have your say

Budding business people in Morecambe are being offered help in getting their ideas off the ground.

If you have ever wanted to develop enterprise skills to improve your chances of employment or start your own small business, then Lancaster University can help.

Dr Carolyn Downs from the university management school is running a three year project called ELIEMENTAL, which will work with people in Morecambe to overcome barriers to becoming your own boss.

She said: “ELIEMENTAL is a great way to realise your full potential and give you the skills to support yourself in employment, all you need is an idea.

“We will help you take those important first steps towards developing your skills to support your own enterprise idea.

“Entrepreneurship can provide a unique way to revitalize local economies, particularly in times of economic recession and insecurity, promoting growth, creating job opportunities, and contributing to individual innovation and regional development.”

If you would like to take part in ELIEMENTAL and live in or near the Morecambe area then please get in touch with the project team on eliemental@GMX.com or phone 01524 510939.
