Work on the pedestrian bridge at the Crook O’ Lune is due to be completed before Christmas, signalling the end of one way traffic in Low Road, near Halton.

The work is being carried out by Lancashire County Council, after it was identified that essential maintenance works were needed.

Kim Whalley, the county council’s senior bridges engineer, said: “We’ve almost finished work to the pedestrian bridge at the Crook O’ Lune and are currently on schedule to reopen it, and remove traffic management from Low Road, before Christmas.”
