Business owners are being offered a free platform to showcase their products and services.
Around 500 students will attend Lancaster and Morecambe College’s Fresher’s Fair on September 3 and 4 between 12 and 3pm.
And the student union has invited companies to go along and promote themselves to those starting courses.
Charities can also take up the offer and champion their work and let students know of any volunteering and fund-raising opportunities.
The college described the two-day event as ‘the largest and most important’ on its student calendar.
It first took place in 2009 as a way of introducing school leavers, new staff and students to local shops, services, companies and places to eat.
Sport taster sessions are being held at the fair for the first time this year, as part of a drive to encourage well-being.
Adam Cowperthwaite, the college’s sport maker, will organise the activities and sports clubs from across the area are invited to get in touch if they would like to put on a display or promote their organisation.
To find out more contact student liaison officer Victoria Rawes at the college on 01524 521237.
The fair will be held at the Morecambe Road campus.
