A local brand consultancy has been named as a finalist for the 2015 Young ‘Uns Awards.

Tom Grattan is up against three other businesses in the county for the title of ‘Business of the Year’.

The awards have been established by Lancashire Business View, organisers of the Red Rose Awards, to celebrate young entrepreneurial and business talent across the county.

Tom Grattan works with a number of clients across the UK from their Lancaster office in Dalton Square, providing brand strategy, identity, design and communications to support a variety of sectors including retail, education, not-for-profit and professional services.

Local clients include Arndale Centre, Ripley St Thomas CE Academy, Q2Q-IT and Barrie Wells Trust.

Tom began his career thanks to a scholar scheme at his former school, Ripley St Thomas, which saw him take the role of Website Administrator and Marketing Manager by the age of 19.

He then set up a highly successful creative agency with business partner Sam Fox, before going solo to launch the self-titled brand consultancy with a team of four in 2013.

Tom said: “I’m thrilled that we’ve been selected as a finalist for Business of the Year.

“It’s great to receive recognition of our work and to celebrate young entrepreneurs in the county.

“Young people have a lot to offer the business community, and I hope this demonstrates that age isn’t an issue in rivalling the most established businesses.”

The inaugural awards ceremony will take place on Friday 12 June at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
