IN the words of Loyd Grossman - who lives in a house like this?
Well, for a mere £895,000 it could be you, as this country house with its own vineyard is now on the market.
Mount Pleasant, a six-bedroom Grade II listed property hidden away on a single-track lane in Bolton-le-Sands, is home to England’s most northerly registered vineyard.
Owned by retired farmer Michael Graham and his wife Penny, the property boasts stunning views across the bay.
And according to Mr Graham, 77 the land surrounding the farmhouse is perfect for growing certain types of grapes, as he has proved over the last 16 years.
He planted his first vine after deciding the farm’s hilltop location overlooking Morecambe Bay would provide ideal growing conditions with its proximity to the Morecambe Bay gulf stream, lack of frost, good drainage and high soil pH.
