20 Questions...Johnathan Ilott

1. What is your earliest recollection?
Being on holiday and my uncle telling us that rabbits have poo parties thus explaining why there were so many droppings in the camp site we were in. I come from an odd family.
2. What was your first job?
When I was 15 I worked in a caf in Port Sunlight. We sold some of the best homemade cakes you will ever eat.
3. Happiest memory?
The summer I spent roping my friends into making a horror film. We never finished it but we did film a great scene of someone's guts being eaten out.
4. Biggest regret?
I have far too many and I'm not telling you any of them.
5. Favourite song or artist?
Bob Dylan by miles, I just wouldn't recommend seeing him live.
6. Most-thumbed book?
I don't really re-read books, but 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez is top of the list if I ever start to.
7. Website most often visited?
IMDB.com is probably the most invaluable tool I have in my job. I am on it on a daily basis.
8. Best-loved food?
Most things fishy, but especially sushi.
9. What's your tipple?
You can't beat a good cup of tea and a biscuit.
10. What's your must-watched TV programme?
It is probably a tie between The Wire and Come Dine with Me, both very addictive in their own ways.
11. A film not to be missed?
The Godfather on the big screen, which, fingers-crossed, you will be able to see at the Dukes later this year.
12. Top holiday destination?
I've not be able to afford many holidays in the past few years but I'm off to Hungary this year so I will have to say there (touch wood).
13. Which football team's result do you look for first on Saturday?
I'm a Liverpool fan through and through, though for some reason I always check on Leicester City. Don't really know why.
14. Favourite car?
My girlfriend's car, it's where all my cds seemed to have migrated to.
15. Pet, past or present?
Simba, Maisy and Suki – the cats I grew up with and are all still going strong and living with my parents.
16. Favourite perfume or aftershave?
I don't have one, does that make me dirty?
17. Which personality would you most like to meet?
Steven Gerrard, just to be able to shake his hand and say thank you.
18. Biggest influence on your life so far?
Clich I know but my mum. She brought me up on the Marx Brothers who are the reason I fell in love with film.
19. What difference would a lottery win make to you?
I'd pretty quickly move somewhere warmer and spend my life writing terrible, unpublishable novels on the beach.
20. What would be your dream job?
That would have to be the film
programme manager at The Dukes.
