A double decker bus hit a Lancaster bridge for the second time this year.
The Stagecoach bus crashed into the low bridge on St George’s Quay on Monday, August 4 at 1pm, causing damage to the front top deck.
There were no passengers on board at the time and nobody was injured.
Stagecoach confirmed that the road involved is not on the vehicle’s planned route. A spokesman added: “We will be investigating the circumstances of this incident as a matter of priority.”
The incident echoed a similar scenario in January when a double decker hit the same structure in a collision which saw the roof of its top deck ripped away.
Stagecoach said the road was “not part of a planned bus route”.
