Beer Festival in Lancaster

ORGANISERS of Lancaster Beer Festival are manning the pumps in preparation for this weekend’s festivities at the town hall.

The annual festival, organised by the Lancaster Round Table and now in its 22nd year, has already raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity.

This year it will host the first ever Lancashire Cup in search of the county’s best brew. Chief judge for the competition is Geoff Pickthall, self-confessed life-long beer geek, member of the Beer Writer’s Guild, and beer advisor to the Hairy Bikers.
