Be part of our ‘Longest local day’ video

This Friday, June 21, is the longest day of the year.

And to celebrate, The Visitor and the Lancaster Guardian we will be producing a ‘Longest local day’ video.

The idea is to capture and celebrate life in and around the district on that particular day.

As well as being out and about ourselves, we’re also inviting you to get involved with the project, which is part of our ‘Summer of Love’ campaign.

Even if it’s just a serene shot of our beautiful bay (fingers crossed the sun comes out!), the sunrise or sunset, or something a little more lively feel free to email it over to adam.lord@jpress.co.uk or drop by our offices on Victoria Street.

The clips don’t have to be particularly long, as we’re hoping to collate plenty into a short piece, and can be of absolutely anything as long as it’s happening in and around Morecambe and Lancaster on June 21.

This idea originally came from the ‘Life in a Day’ crowdsourced drama/documentary by Ridley Scott; comprising an arranged series of video clips selected from 80,000 users submitted to YouTube, with each clip showing occurrences from around the world on that single day (July 24, 2010).
