The pirate ship that formed the centrepiece of a recent Dukes Theatre production is one of a number of items being auctioned off at a charity event next month.

The Dukes Diamond Charity Dinner at the Midland Hotel in Morecambe on March 16 will see the good ship Hispaniola being auctioned off alongside holidays of a lifetime, all in aid of The Dukes Creative Learning Department.

As well as the charity auction, the evening will feature a three course dinner, wine, live band, entertainment and dancing.

Other ‘must have’ items in the auction include a fortnight in South African holiday home during whaling season.

It also includes a unique architectural tour of Berlin in the company of the architects who designed the prizewinning London Olympic 2012 shooting arena.

All proceeds will support The Dukes Creative Learning Department which works with 5,000 young people annually and which has recently been rated outstanding by the Arts Council for the second year running. For tickets priced £75, contact The Dukes box office on 01524 598500 or visit www.dukes-lancaster.org.
