ARTISTS helped raise £280 for Lancaster charity Alexandra House by raffling off UK and US flags customised as canvas art at Lancaster gallery and gift boutique Unbox.

The art, which formed part of Unbox’s USA (Urban Screen Art) exhibition, which was up for grabs as part of a £1 a ticket raffle.

The proceeds went to Alexandra House, which is based on Westbourne Drive and provides short break care for children and young people with additional needs.

Five lucky winners drawn out of a hat by magician Sam Fitton now own specially commissioned artwork created for the event.

Jane Richardson, owner and managing director of Unbox, said: “We are delighted that the funds raised will benefit young people who have a lot to deal with at such an early age.”
