A public meeting is to be held later this month to discuss current issues and cuts surrounding the local health service, fire service and education.

The ‘anti-austerity’ meeting is being held at the Friends Meeting House in Meeting House Lane, Lancaster, on January 27 from 7pm.

Among the attending guests are Lancaster MP Eric Ollerenshaw, Labour parliamentary candidate Cat Smith, Green parliamentary candidate Chris Coates, local NUT secretary Sam Ud-din and Neil Parkinson from the Fire Brigades Union.
