LANCASTER band The Lovely Eggs need your help to get their new single some BBC radio airplay.
Their song Allergies is one of three contenders on unsigned band champion Steve Lamacq’s BBC6 Music Rebel Playlist.
If The Lovely Eggs get the most votes, the song will be played on every show on the station for a whole week.
“That will pay our ‘leccy bill for months that will!” said Holly Blackwell, singer with The Lovely Eggs.
“We are like the Barry McGuigan of the competition. The other bands are total bigger than us and have things like proper mailing lists.”
The Eggs are up against songs from Zola Jesus and Little Comets.
Allergies has been produced by the Super Furry Animals’ Gruff Rhys.
To vote, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject heading TheLovelyEggs.
Or log onto http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/steve-lamacq/features/rebel-playlist/
Voting closes at midnight this Sunday (November 13).
You can also hear the single this Friday night at 6pm on Greg Lambert’s Diversity FM radio show The Resident on 103.5FM or www.diversityfm.co.uk
