Show is Strictly for TV dance fans

Glamorous stars of Strictly Come Dancing will make a dazzling return to the Grand Theatre this Sunday (May 12).

Pasha Kovalev and Katya Virshilas are two of the professional dancers who put celebrities through their paces on the hit BBC1 show.

Now Pasha and Katya have devised a live show where they will perform alongside guest dancers and demonstrate some of their TV routines.

The show will be accompanied by a full visual backdrop, a Q&A section plus an appearance by Morecambe dance school the Happy Feet School of Dance.

Expect the rumba, waltz, foxtrot,tango, jive and many more exciting dance routines.

Pasha started dancing at age eight in his native Russia. In 2001 he moved to the United States with his professional dance partner Anya Garnis.

He turned professional and started competing internationally, being finalists in the US Open championships several times, then made his TV debut in 2007 on US show So You Think You Can Dance.

The 33-year-old Siberian joined Strictly Come Dancing in 2011 and was runner-up with partner Chelsee Healey in his first series, then finished runner-up alongside Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh in 2012.

Katya was born in Lithuania then moved to Israel, then to Vancouver, Canada aged 13.

She was a Vancouver British Columbia Dancesport Champion four times, from 1998 to 2002. In 2001, she and her partner won the Canadian Latin Dance Championship.

Her partners in Strictly Come Dancing have been cricketer Phil Tufnell, rugby player Gavin Henson and TV presenter Dan Lobb. Katya did not appear in the 2012 series of the hit show. She is married to long-time dance partner Klaus Kongsdal.

Strictly Come Dancing, hosted by Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly, has been a Saturday night smash since debuting in 2004.
