A popular bar and restaurant in Lancaster has closed down to make way for new student accommodation.
V-Bar and Teatro, at 60-62 Church Street, both managed by Oliver Richardson-Hogg, were closed within two weeks of eachother, after the landlord did not renew the lease.
The move signals plans for a 79 bedroom student block at 50-62 Church Street, which would also create a new frontage on Damside Street, which were given the go ahead last year. Oliver said he was “gutted”, but would like to thank his customers for their support. Teatro closed on April 17, and V-Bar on May 1.
