British-born Canadian novelist Helen Humphreys will visit Lancaster this week as part of a project to strengthen links between the city and Toronto.

The acclaimed writer and poet will be reading from her new work, ‘The Evening Chorus’, at The Storey in the city centre on Friday.

The event, which gets underway at 2pm, is the latest of a series of events organised by Lancaster University’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) as part of its knowledge exchange programme.

FASS Enterprise Knowledge Exchange Fellows Dr Will Smith and Dr Polly Atkin have been working closely with the University of Toronto to connect the two cities’ literary communities.
