* ORIGINAL Jam members, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler, together with Russell Hastings will perform The Jam's back catalogue at Morecambe Dome on Friday, August 28.

Bass player Bruce Foxton and drummer Rick Buckler were the driving force rhythm and power section behind singer Paul Weller.

His place in From the Jam is taken by Russell Hastings who has been working with Rick Buckler since 2005 and is a musician and vocalist in his own right.

This is not a tribute show, but two of the original members with a new singer who will present The Jam's songs to keep the memories alive.

From The Jam will be supported by Djune and The Regulars. The doors will be open from 7pm onwards and tickets cost 21 advance, 24 on the door. Call the box office on 01524 582803.

* THE author of a book which has been described as 'open minded, warm and funny' will head to Lancaster's Waterstone's for a reading and signing on Thursday.

Lucy Edge will meet and greet the public at the Marketgate shop, as well as signing copies of her new novel The Handbag and Wellies Yoga Club.

The book tells the true story of Lucy giving up a London advertising career in favour of love, calm and karma in the country.

But all does not go as planned – Lucy found love late in life and is shocked to discover that she, and indeed all women over 40, struggle to conceive.

Find out more in Waterstone's from 6.30pm. To book your free ticket ask in store, or call 01524 842561
