What's on this week?

* AN evening of UK and US number one hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s takes place at the Platform tomorrow, Saturday.

The Ultimate No. 1 Hits Show is performed by a strong cast of singers wearing a variety of vintage costumes to match the music.

The show starts with the 1950s with versions of hits by Elvis, Cliff, Connie Francis, Doris Day, The Everly Brothers and many more before moving on to the swinging 60s with The Beatles, Sandie Shaw, The Rolling Stones, Cher and The Monkees. Then on to the glamtastic 1970s.

The show is suitable for all ages and starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost 13.50 from the Box Office on 01524 582803 or from Lancaster and Morecambe Visitor Information Centres.

* HEYSHAM Classic Car & Bike Show is being held on Sunday.

More than 150 cars, motorbikes and stationary engines will be filling Heysham field. There will also be a small car boot sale, auto jumble sale, charity stalls, bouncy castle, martial arts displays and refreshments.

This annual event is always well attended and sure to be a good day out.
