A TV grapple star who shot to fame on a hit BBC1 documentary will bring his unique brand of mirth and mayhem to Morecambe.

Grado, known as ‘The Clown Prince of Scottish Wrestling’, became an overnight sensation after he starred in ‘Insane Fight Club’ earlier this year.

Now Grado, real name Graeme Stevely, will headline the next wrestling event at The Globe Arena on Sunday, July 20.

The Scot has been entertaining crowds all over the country with his hilarious wrestling antics and infectious entrance to Madonna’s ‘Like A Prayer’.

Describing himself as “a chubby wee chancer, as fit as my gran”, the tubby underdog has UK wrestling fans rallying to support him in droves in a phenomenon known as ‘Gradomania’.

His opponent on July 20 will be Irishman, Mad Man Manson, a barmy character who wrestles barefoot.

Also on the ‘Era of Violence’ bill, new PAID Promotions Champion ‘The One Man Riot’ Craig Kollins will have his manager, Greg ‘The Truth’ Lambert, in his corner for a title defence against fan favourite Bubblegum.

The show will also mark the return of mega-popular masked Mexican sensation El Ligero, voted the best wrestler in the UK three times over the past four months.

In other bouts on the six-match card, the gargantuan Cyanide will battle charismatic ‘Delicious’ Danny Hope, while young powerhouse Ricky J McKenzie duels with grizzled veteran ‘Dangerous’ Damon Leigh.

Doors open at 4pm and the show starts at 4.30pm.

Front row ringside tickets have already sold out, but adult, child and family tickets are still available priced £12, £9 and £36 respectively, with discounts available for purchases by Paypal.
