RE 'Turbine plan for Williamson Park', in last week's Guardian.
One would have thought that, considering its vast acreage, Williamson Park would have one of the lowest carbon footprints in Lancaster, so why the need for a huge wind turbine?

However, if we must have one, then why not modify the Ashton Memorial and fit it with rotary arms?

Even better, install electric light bulbs (low-energy of course) on these, so as to create a sort of North West Moulin Rouge to advertise a city that has finally gone nuts.
