YOU recently published a letter from my local councillor, Sheila Denwood, with regards to dog poo and litter in Scotforth West.
I would like to say through your paper how I agree with her and how true her words are.
I have also noticed how prevalent these two disgusting practices are, returning here again to our lovely area of Scotforth and Greaves.
Nearly every morning as I leave my front gate – there it is and I have to clean it up because I cannot bear to look at it!
I am a senior citizen and cannot abide this irresponsible behaviour from a certain minority.
The same problem with the litter. On many occasions, I have had to ask Coun Denwood to have rubbish removed which has just been thrown into bags and plonked at the corner of our street.
I realise the refuse men and dog wardens do their best. But what is happening when we have to keep going on about the same old complaints over and over again? Have people lost their sense of respect for our lovely district or what? I'm not the only resident who feels this way I can assure you.
A fed-up resident of Greaves
