The Primrose area of Lancaster is the most desirable place to live according to students at Lancaster University.
A survey carried out by Sta Travel this week revealed that living on campus ranked third behind Aldcliffe and Primrose as the most desirable student areas.
Areas were judged by provision of places to go out, transport, shops, community and facilities.
St Oswald St in Primrose was cited in the survey as being: "A very good area to live in, safe, yet close enough to the city centre with good bus links."
A total of 22 areas were surveyed by 187 participating students.
Prices for accommodation were also studied, with the city centre and St Martins being the most expensive.
