OCCUPANTS of a house in Warton had a lucky escape at the weekend when fire broke out in their bedroom.
Fire crews from Carnforth and Silverdale were called to the home in Coach Road just before 1am on Saturday and found the bedroom ablaze.

The occupants had got out of the property and were not injured.

Ten firefighters spent an hour at the scene extinguishing the blaze and making the area safe.

The bedroom was gutted and the rest of the home suffered severe smoke damage.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
