BRITISH Transport Police are appealing for information after £3,000 worth of CCTV equipment was stolen from Carnforth Railway Station.
The theft occurred at around 11.45pm on Sunday September 28, when thieves approached the station along the railway line where they managed to avoid being caught on camera.
They then used a key to open a cabinet on the southbound track and stole an Indigo Vision encoder box containing 10 encoder cards, worth £250 each, and a network card, worth £300.
Police believe the culprits knew what they were doing, due to the fact that they had a key and unscrewed the connectors correctly.
Anyone with information is asked to call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40.
