SAMMY McIlroy wants his Morecambe side to go out on a high in Saturday's final home match of the season.
Garry Thompson and Michael Twiss are both expected to be available to boost the Shrimps' attacking threat against Lincoln.

And McIlroy will send his side out with the aim of breaking the 60-point barrier.

McIlroy said: "We will be going all gun
s blazing for a win on Saturday against Lincoln.

"We're hoping for a big crowd at the end of the season to cheer us off. It has been an eye opener, but we are still a League club which was the main aim.

"If we can get into the 60s for points, I will be delighted. That is a great total for a first spell in League football."

Thompson had been expected to miss the rest of the season with a fractured cheekbone but he has been training this week.

Twiss was also set to be out until the summer with a
hamstring injury but he featured for the Reserves' on Monday.

However, Stewart Drummond is unlikely to play in the final two games due to his ankle injury.

Off the field, McIlroy has managed to tie up another player for next season with Henry McStay agreeing a two-year deal. McIlroy said: "Henry has been unbelieveable. I am delighted with him and his attitude.

"I knew what the boy had but sometimes lads can come into a club and find it hard.

"I thought him and Scott Davies were our best players on Saturday – it was a great performance from both of them."

Talks have been continuing with goalkeepeer Davies, who has indicated he will be staying at the club, while contracts have also been offered to Garry Hunter and Damien Allen.

McIlroy said: "They are young lads who are finding their way and they will get better with experience."

McStay was delighted to sorted out a deal to stay at the club.
He said: "I have enjoyed my time here since joining in February and I was really hoping I'd be offered a deal.

"There is a great team spirit here and even though the results haven't gone our way of late I am confident that we can compete well again next season.
