THERE was much to enjoy at Candoco's performance last Thursday night.
The dance group with both able bodied and disabled dancers put on 100 minutes of entertainment which was thought provoking, fun, clever and at times thrilling.

There were moments of brilliance – when the dancers seized a mike and danced to the different rhythm of their breaths.

Or the man writhing on the floor looking like a mangled wreck of a human being until his mask was removed revealing it had been a simple illusion and he was perfectly healthy.

However, in both dances, choreographed by Nigel Charnock and Hofesh Shechter, it felt as though they weren't complete pieces.

There were loads of great ideas – particularly in the second dance, Still – which had all been thrown in but it just didn't quite work as a performance for me.

However, and this is always a good test, if Candoco return to Lancaster I shall definitely go back and see them.
