Gents across the district have been sporting fine facial hair in aid of Movember.

The global phenomenon sees men grow moustaches to raise awareness and money for men’s health issues, particularly prostate and testicular cancer, throughout the month of November.

Bus drivers in Lancaster got into the spirit – 49 Stagecoach employees and five friends took part to raise money for the Special Care Baby Unit at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

And around 100 staff at Heysham power stations have also been having a bash at growing moustaches, raising around £1,500.

They even decked out a bus to let people know they were dodging their razors for a month.

The Penny Street Bridge Hotel in Lancaster held a Tash Bash on Friday night in association with CancerCare where awards were handed out for the best and worst moustaches.

And we asked you to send us in your efforts on Twitter so here are some of your best attempts.
