1. What is your earliest recollection?
Getting the measles and being allowed to spend the day downstairs on the sofa with a patchwork quilt and Lucozade.
2. What was your first job?
A bar maid. I was very proud of my ability to serve a good pint and memorise orders, as well as adding up the bill in my head and then checking if I was right on the till.
3. Happiest memory?
Childhood spent growing up in Saudi Arabia, and the smells, sounds and excitement of the souks.
4. Biggest regret?
Never really recognising how fit and athletic I used to be, and thinking it could last, with no effort. For you youngsters out there...wait until you reach 40...you'll see what I mean.
5. Favourite song or artist?
Changes all the time, really enjoy lots of things...Paul Weller's You Do Something To Me is a particular favourite but also, and highly
unfashionable, I have a revived interest in Abba since going to see Mamma Mia a few weeks ago.

The Vintner's Luck by Elizabeth Knox and Perfume by Patrick Süskind.
7. Website most often visited?
Boden – I like their coats. And shoes. And jumpers.
8. Best-loved food?
Just discovered a really smashing Indian restaurant in Kirkby Lonsdale – so Indian definitely, for now. Italian food is a favourite too, mainly as it is relatively easy to cook!
9. What's your tipple?
Pimms. Sounds really posh, but really tasty.

EastEnders. Or Lost in Austen at the moment.
11. A film not to be missed?
For us ladies, Mamma Mia.

Just been to Sicily and loved it. Also Botswana is a magical place.
13. Which football team's result do you look for first on Saturday?
I sometimes watch the Morning Line. Sorry. No idea about football.
14. Favourite car?
Had VW Beetle once and loved it. And yes, I did have a flower in the vase.
15. Pet, past or present?
Lola, a messy, demanding golden retriever. And Henry, a loveable, slightly elderly horse.
16. Favourite perfume or aftershave?
Jo Malone, Pomegranate Noir. I am totally addicted.
17. Which personality would you most like to meet?
Has to be George (Clooney, who else?)
18. Biggest influence on your life so far?
Being told that I couldn't possibly run the London Marathon – which I then did (slowly). Never let others' preconceptions hold you down.
19. What difference would a lottery win make to you?
I'd make my family's life easier, by splitting it with them, take a long holiday...and then probably want to get back to work to see what I was missing.
20. What would be your dream job?
Cliché, but I really am doing it right now. I wondered what it would be like to be a station director of a nuclear power station when I first started in the industry, 20 years ago. I now know.
