POLICE this morning cordoned off a road in Halton after a woman was found dead with stab wounds.
Forensics teams are on the scene in Schoolhouse Lane.
A North West Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called at 8.37am following reports a woman had been stabbed.
But they arrived to find she had died.
