Woman rescued after bedroom fire

A WOMAN was rescued by firefighters following a bedroom fire at a Morecambe home.
Two fire engines from Morecambe and another from Lancaster were called to reports that someone was trapped in the building in Marylands Square at 9.30pm last night.
The woman was helped out by firefighters who then extinguished the fire. She was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation but did not need hospital treatment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation althought the circumstances are not believed to be suspicous.
