Man killed in motorbike crash

A MOTORCYCLIST from Preston was killed in a crash near Hornby on Saturday.
Ian Bottomley, 52, of The Maltings in Longton, near Preston, was pronounced dead at the scene following the accident on the A683 Hornby to Melling road.

The accident happened shortly after 11am.

A spokesman for Lancashire police said: "At this time, police do not believe any other vehicles were involved but enquiries are ongoing and witnesses are sought."
