Man dies in tractor accident

A 70-YEAR-OLD man from Hornby has died after a tractor accident on a Wray farm.
John Mitchell Wallbank, of Station Road, was involved in the accident at Park House Farm, in Lower House Lane, Wray, at around 2.45pm on Tuesday.

It is understood a tractor carrying a slurry trailer reversed into Mr Wallbank, crushing his legs and pelvis.

Ambulance crews, police and the North West Air Ambulance attended but he died at the scene.

The Health and Safety Executive are conducting an investigation, after which an inquest will open.
