Horse rescued by firefighters

FIRE crews rescued a horse after it got stuck in a ditch on Sunday afternoon.
The horse was trapped in mud in the 5ft deep ditch at a paddock in Winmarleigh after jumping or falling in.

Firefighters spent three hours using specialist lifting equipment to free the animal.

A vet was called to the scene to ensure the animal wasn't injured in the incident, whiich happened at around 1.30pm.
