Cyclist dies after collision

A 64-YEAR-OLD Settle man has died after his bicycle was involved in a collision with a car.
Stuart Holdsworth was cycling along the A65 near Giggleswick when his bicycle collided with a silver Volkswagen Golf which was towing a caravan.

The occupants of the Golf, a man and a woman, were uninjured in the incident, which occurred near the junction of Paley Green Lane and Brackenber Lane at 10.55am yesterday.

Mr Holdsworth was taken to Airedale General Hospital in Keighley with serious injuries but died at 12.20pm.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact PC Ken Riley at the Skipton road policing group on 0845 6060247.
