POLICE are warning motorists of potential road congestion on Thursday morning.
A large gathering is expected at a funeral which will see a procession of vehicles follow the coffin from Skerton in Lancaster to Heysham from about 11.15am onwards.

Police say delays will be inevitable as the cortege make its way down Torrisholme Road, Morecambe Road and Oxcliffe Road.

PC Jude Saysell from the local police's operations department said: "We would advise local motorists to be aware of the delays they may face and advise them that it may be worth considering an alternative route.''
